The market is full of different brushless motors and it is rather hard to decide which motors to choose. Like I mentioned before, once I get the 6 cell batteries I will update this article with prop testing data for those batteries as well. Skewp, Thanks for posting your findings. What I mean by this is that when you have a battery that is fully charged the second you open up the throttle and spin up the motor the voltage of your battery starts to decrease. Nhm your post you mention that you have always assumed that the max-amp rating given by the manufacturer was something that could not be exceeded without potential consequences.

For the past six months these motors are proven to be durable and reliable motors. In addition, there are those mid-priced mid-quality motors to make the motor choice even harder.

Hobbyking advertises them as quality motors with tight windings, quality bearings, correctly rated magnets and QC checked at 14 points.

They have been tough enough for the past half a year and have not had any problems during flight. You need to log-in to ntn articles. To sum this all up I think the best way to think about the “manufacturer rating” is that they are giving you a ball park number that you should try to stay as close too as possible. I only ran the props for about 15 seconds at full throttle then backed of slowly so even when I recorded very high numbers neither the motor nor the ESC got very hot at all.

It flies around mph calculated with unlimited vertical and seeries nice “happy prop” sound.
