Quickly, they wave goodbye to Cacnea, and run off in that direction. Using Fearow to blow the smoke away, he discovers that Meowth had used the Smokescreen to sneak in and pick the locks off the cages, being able to withstand the electrified cage due to being subjected to Pikachu’s attacks many times before.
They thank him, and then set off to try to save Ekans and co once again. Make Room For Gloom. May starts running ahead, but Brock grabs her. They wonder what the big idea of the mechanism is, and after much pondering, they just decide to take it with them, and head towards the center.

Then, Tyranitar keeps franitically shooting Hyper Beams, making a huge explosion! Jessie just ignoares that, and has Arbok use Acid to melt the cage. Ryou quickly swerves to the side and takes out his gun, but just then, Weezing comes from behind and uses Smokescreen!

Suddenly, Arbok gets up, and motions the direction where he senses the car. With a lead on Rico, Officer Jenny then asks Ash and his friends to lead her to where they found it. The only time Arbok and Weezing refused to obey their Trainers was in A Chansey Operationwhere they refused to attack a Chanseybecause it had cared for their injuries that had been caused from Team Rocket’s schemes.
Angered, Rico sends out Pupitar, who promptly evolves to a Tyranitar.
