Typically flushing is done during normal operation, using small amounts of fresh water. Some of the flow, the bypass flow, can be made to follow this route, through the siphon and into the effluent compartment. This enables separating even the smallest traces of oil, without a drop of water, in the shortest possible time. For fixed skimmers the maximum level variation that currently can be handled is mm. Longer lifetimes mean less cost for make-up and less cost duparator disposal. Only fluctuation in the level or in the flow out ot the trough will cause the skimmer to change its position. All it takes is the unique, passive, construction.

That’s all, but it means everything in the separation of oil from water. In all 88 systems, all equipment is fitted onto the unit, mounted behind the characteristic blue panels. Skimmer, skimmer pump, effluent pump, sensors, controller and all interconnections; everything is integrated and fully assembled prior to shipment. The series 84 are the logical next step up from the 86 series. Water and chemicals separate from this layer into the aqueous phase below it.

Gravity separators primarily collect the oil; they build an oil layer inside the separator, resulting in long contact times. A simple, passive, construction! Flushing can easily be automated, practically eliminating the need for cleaning the unit. Manually removing the accumulated material at given times is a solution, but may not be very practical. Overflow 22 and drain connections 23 and 24 are combined in connection D.

The incoming flow enters the system at Aif possible by gravity feed. Valve 11 is used to control the incoming flow if necessary. Series 86 package units. The 88 series are the primary choise for automotive pre-treatment applications. All integrated, easily accessible for maintenance purposes.

It makes the 88 the easiest to integrate with your process with seeries on site installation cost.

A sdries skimmer is the intelligent way to address the problem. The dropping level will cause the skimmer trough to tilt forward, increasing the incoming flow.

The clean aqueous medium runs off and is returned to the process. The aqueous medium which collects in the effluent compartment is discharged through this outlet. The rake skimmer sweeps the surface in such a way that material that otherwise would accumulate, and which would not go over the valve tops or the oil weir, is pushed towards and over the oil weir.

No maintenance sensitive devices, no controls, no energy.
